Central Park West
CBS
1995-1996
Role: Peter Fairchild
Central Park West, the creation of Darren Starr, whose hit shows include 90120 and Melrose Place, premiered on CBS in the autumn of 1995.
While performing in Sunset Boulevard in London, John came to the notice of the developers of Central Park West because a young relative of a producer had John's poster on her bedroom wall. John was offered the role of Peter Fairchild, a charismatic attorney, who some saw as being modelled on JFK Junior.
Sadly, due to low ratings, only seven episodes aired before the show was put on hiatus for retooling. It resurfaced with the new title , CPW, with a further eight episodes airing in the summer of 1996 before the show was cancelled.
