John was thrilled to perform in concert to a full house at the Hamer Hall, Melbourne Arts Centre, on 16 January 2018. The concert was part of Melbourne's Midsumma Festival.
Directed by MD, Matthew Brind, and backed by a six-piece band, John took the enthusiastic crowd through his life and career with photos, videos and songs.
The set included "Don't Rain On My Parade", "Goodbye My Friend", "Unusual Way", "Just One Of Those Things", "I Won't Send Roses", "Loch Lomond", "A Thousand Years", fan-favourite "The Doctor and I", and his signature song, "I Am What I Am". John also brought on a surprise guest for a duet of "Rhinestone Cowboy" - his husband, Scott Gill.
