How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?

Having found a Maria, a Joseph and a Nancy for the West End stage, John headed for Toronto to judge the Canadian version of How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? for the CBC channel.

John joined the other judges, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Simon Lee and Elaine Overholt to support, encourage and challenge the ten potential Marias as they moved closer to the starring role in The Sound of Music at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre in the autumn of 2008. Elicia MacKenzie was declared the winner and played Maria until the production closed in January 2010.
